Shrink Wrapping Film,
Knitted Pallet Netting and
Stretch Banding
Shrink wrap, or shrink film, is a
polymer plastic film available in a variety of
thicknesses, clarities and strengths, that when heat is applied to it, it shrinks tightly over
whatever it is covering.
Shrink wrap is used to protect the product and keep it clean, to consolidate pieces, stabilize
cans and bottles in carton, used to wrap up expensive magazines preventing consumers from
reading them before buying, widely used for tamper resistance goods like DVDs and CDs and
commonly used to shrink tightly over perishable food such as meat and cheese.
Heat can be applied using an electric or
gas hand held heat gun unless
using small parts in
large quantities then they are placed on a conveyor that runs through a heat tunnel.
Other thicker and
stronger shrink wraps are puncture resistant. This shrink wrap is ideal to
wrap your items bundled all together no matter what shape they represent, a strong enough film
that protects without damaging your packaging.
A
knitted pallet netting is a clear and strong clear poly wrap, easy to use and will cling only to
itself with no need to use any adhesive. This pallet netting is perfect to wrap large items when
moving. Like securing cabinet drawers, pillows to couches, packaged frames etc.
Stretch banding film, is a 1" core clear poly film, that
comes in different diameters of 3", 5"
and up to 1000'. Ready to use, it will cling to itself, making it a better choice and more
economical than tape, twine or strapping.
